This ability is known as neuroplasticity. Neurons (nerve cells) in the brain can compensate for any injury or disease and adjust their activities according to the demand of present situation or change in environment.

By understanding and enhancing this ability of the brain a person can acquire better problem solving skills, learn various languages, control emotions or increase one’s concentration. Visualize, sing with a rhyme

Most people find it difficult to remember people and names. Here is a tip. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. Now associate the name with an image and a rhyming word. Rhyming word will give you a cue while recalling the name later on. Don’t believe it? Try.

Divide and Rule

Grouping is an easy way to remember a long list or long numbers. Divide the list in sets of three four or five whatever you feel comfortable. In this way mind doesn’t has to remember each piece of information separately, so less cluttering and optimum use of short term memory is ensured.
