Today, we are living in an Era where every small aspect of life is getting modernized but unfortunately, the sufferings from social evils remain the same as were in earlier times. Social Evils are not something new in India. Since ages, our society has been the victim of social evils. Moreover, most of these evils are related to the fairer sex. One can find a solution only when understands the problem.
At AAS, volunteers are regularly involved in running awareness campaigns and finding solutions for these social evils:
Dowry
Casteism
Gender bias
Religion bias
Inequality
Domestic abuse
Nepotism
Littering
Corruption
Spitting
Wastage of food
Defecation (in open)
Alcohol
Child labour
Bureaucracy
Child marriage
Red tapism
Indifference towards merit/talent
Absolute poverty and illiteracy that is still prevalent in our society is not considered as a social evil by many but by AAS. Knowledge is another factor, which many people are deprived of.
We feel that only education can fill the gap. The most important among the evil is, the refusal to provide, priority to education, and a decent living for the people who need it.
